About Me

Counselling

I am a trained qualified and licensed counsellor. I am a member of the International Society of Professional Counsellors [ISPC] and adhere to their Code of Ethics and Practice. I am fully insured and have obtained enhanced disclosure CRB clearance.

I have 10 years of experience counselling adults. I have worked as a volunteer for a Nottingham based charity since 2001; the charity sees adults, couples and children providing a range of therapeutic interventions. I provide supervision to other counsellors who volunteer for the charity.

In April 2009, I set up a private practice; I have a comfortable easily accessible setting in Eastwood, just off the main Nottingham Road. I also offer, to suit your need, home-based, workplace, telephone counselling or on Skype. I will contract with employers to offer counselling to employees with personal or work-related issues.

My training was as a person-centred counsellor but my practice draws from other disciplines and now sits within an eclectic approach.

In March 2010 I started as a volunteer with Nottingham Prison. I work on a programme providing a faith-based 12-step recovery programme for anyone who wants to address their attitude towards offending behaviour. The recovery programme is called Celebrate Recovery.
